DATA COLLECTION WITH PERIODIC CELL-LINK UPLOAD

Tiny Footprint Engineering acted as subcontractor for software design of a system that collected several disparate datastreams, and periodically uploaded the collected data to a web-based server via GPS (embedded cell phone module) internet access. A clock display was updated from an internet time servers. That's all we can say!

LIVE EVENT MEDIA WAVECAM - Winch-driven overhead camera platform for sports events

Tiny Footprint Engineering designed the majority of the electronics and embedded software in the Wavecam. Technologies included:

BOXING GLOVE PROJECT - wireless system embedded in boxing glove for transmitting hit forces

Tiny Footprint Engineering designed two-way transceivers for communicating the hit forces of a boxing glove. A miniaturized, ruggedized transceiver module is mounted into the wrist of the glove, along with a button cell, and a multichannel receiver picks up signals from four gloves. Technologies included

• Agile-frequency communications
• Packet-based with acknowledgement
• Automatic and Manual RF channel switching, with dynamically-assigned independent channels for each glove
• Automatic RF channel changing when channel jammed
• Micropower embedded microcontroller, with analog sensor measurement
• Temperature measurement
• Computer interface (hit force values later superimposed on video stream)
